| Emeralds are the green variety of
beryl (Be3Al2(SiO3)6) the green
color comes from trace amounts of
chromium
and sometimes
vanadium.
Beryl has a
hardness of 7.5 - 8 on the 10 point Mohs hardness scale. Most emeralds are highly
included, are very brittle and resist breakage poorly.
Emerald is known as the “Stone of Successful Love” and domestic bliss. Emerald stimulates the heart chakra, improves harmony, fidelity, joy, and is helpful in all healing. It also attracts wealth and profitable dreaming. Emerald is also known as the stone of Peace. Emerald is a soft and gentle healer and gently balances the energies of the spirit.
