Pyramids

Pyramids are huge wonders of beauty and history.  These triangular structures were built for Kings and Queens as a place to rest after death.   With a mountain like shape, (wide bottoms and narrow tops), the stability of a pyramid can never be compromised.  It is thought that this mountain like shape had a religious meaning; like the slanting rays of the sun.  Others believed the sides were slanted to allow the Kings to climb up and join the Gods.  Pyramids are made out of stone and are hollow inside.  There are around 80 pyramids in Egypt, however, the ones most talked about are at Giza.  The Giza Pyramids are considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Fluorite

Fluorite was formed millions of years ago by the action of hot vapors, or vapor-bearing water, rising into cracks and crevices in the earth's crust.  The name is derived from the Latin word "fluere," which means "flow."  Less than 10% of all the Fluorite mined is suitable for carving.  Today, the finest lapidary grade Fluorite comes from China.  No other stone offers the color diversity of Fluorite.  Hues of blue, green, purple and yellow, combined with Fluorite's natural translucency, make this magical gemstone an unequalled art medium, expressed in exquisite carvings executed by our master carvers.
