Free Spirits at Freespirit Rocks Upon deciding to develop an internet based business, we wanted to have a name that was reflective of who we are…just a couple of free spirits who wanted a small boutique in cyberspace. Because we used IM monikers based upon freespirit, we chose to eliminate the space between the words making the name somewhat less common. We didn’t learn until much later that there was a Marvel Comics character named ‘Free Spirit’, nor did we realize that there had been a “Brethren of the Free Spirit” as a Christian movement in northern Europe in the 1200’s and 1300’s. Having stumbled upon these references, we see a similarity in philosophy which has at this point spanned nine centuries. If we can’t be truly unique, at least we know we are in good company as free spirits! Fundamentally, we try to keep a free and open mind to all that is around us and realize that freedom begins in our own minds. We say welcome to all other free spirits who visit our little website! Our Rocks and Minerals

Years ago, after Freespirit Emporium was already well established, I became friends with a lovely Brazilian family in the area.   He imported rocks and minerals from his home town in Brazil, to his Florida home nearby.  He carefully hand picked many of the pieces you will see on my site.  I am not limited to the pieces you see here.  I have access to much larger pieces and more variety.  I am so excited to be able to offer these wonderful specimens and jewelry.  My prices are very competitive to other sites offering the high quality I do.  I know you have lots of choices, but I encourage you to compare my prices to theirs before you purchase.
